The blur set by default is not being applied. Can you please explain how to do this?

Hi,
I have the following problem. I'm using blur widget as a background in multiple other widgets, so i could see them on a bright background. I notice an issue, that I'm not sure what happens. When I'm switching from a macbook Pro to an external screen, the blur window flashes randomly. That does not happen when I'm using only Macbook's screen. I've tried to adjust the parameters but still happening. I have the feeling that it may have to do with the Refresh rate of the external screen rather than an issue with the widget, but I thought to reach out if any ideas why that may happened.

The blur just not works.
I didn't edit anything, just downloaded, but the blur does not work.
the border lines show up, but I can't se the blur working.

Any reasons?
I am using big sur.
