Thanks for maintaining this formula.
On Macos Sierra I got the following error when I try to install open-inventor with your homebrew formula:

When I try to compile by myself your git repository I got also some errors :

Undefined symbols for architecture x86_64:
"_FT_Done_GlyphSlot", referenced from:
__flFTDeleteGlyphChar in libFLiv.a(flfreetype.o)
ld: symbol(s) not found for architecture x86_64
fatal error: /Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/Toolchains/XcodeDefault.xctoolchain/usr/bin/libtool: internal link edit command failed
make[1]: *** [libInventor.0.0.0.dylib] Error 1

I seems that _FT_Done_GlyphSlot come from the freetype library but I don't know is this function is deprecated ...
If I comment this call, I got the ivview tool that I expected but with the following runtime error :

Warning: XmManager ClassInitialize: XmeTraitSet failed
Error: attempt to add non-widget child "DropSiteManager" to parent "ivview" which supports only widgets

brew install openinventor
==> Installing openinventor from aumuell/homebrew-tap

curl: (22) The requested URL returned error: 406 Not Acceptable
Error: Failed to download resource "openinventor"
Download failed: [email protected]:aumuell/open-inventor.git

On Ubuntu 18.04 I found that replacing abs with fabs eliminated this compilation error. Not sure if this is the correct approach or not.

Similar issue found in ccw.c++, arctess.c++, acr.c++, and simplemath.h.

Is there any intention to make a release of the source code? I see the last releases were in 2010 and were distro specific (fedora, debian). How about a new source code release with a distro-neutral tag like 2.1.6?

I used sudo apt-get install libmotif-dev not sure if this is the correct approach or not.
