Hull Softworks'(Austin Hull's) open-source Pebble application is intended to - at least to a certain degree - bridge the gap between Steam users and their Pebble smart watches!
During development of latest release, attempted to implement Friends List feature with a customizable number of entries to be displayed. Current attempts have yielded unsuitable results, usually with various names overwriting other names on each entry-space of the list.
Even with web connectivity, the application very occasionally fails to retrieve valid JSON data from the Steam API services. I am unsure if this issue is specific to the Wrist Steam application, or if it is dependent on certain characteristics of the Pebble phone app's connection between the web and/or the Pebble smartwatch.
Currently, configuring the application for use with the user's Steam account requires going through a relatively-inconvenient process of looking up said user's 64-bit SteamID by hand. If I can manage to implement Steam's OpenID login system into the app's Configuration webpage, the set-up process for the end-user should improve immensely! PS: If I have time, I should try to have the Configuration page show the last-entered Steam account name, as a way to improve the presentation and feel of the UX.
