Please note this response was created using generative AI leveraging previously available information from the repository. This information may be helpful however it is our strong recommendation that you carefully consider the information before blindly applying it.

It appears there might be a misunderstanding or miscommunication in the description of your issue. Based on the information provided and the context from the Authelia documentation and release notes, there is no indication that the configuration key logs_file has ever been deprecated or replaced by server.host. Instead, the migration guides and release notes detail changes to other configuration keys across various versions of Authelia.

For instance, in version 4.30.0, the configuration key changes included host being replaced by server.host and port by server.port, among others. Additionally, in version 4.38.0, the configuration keys server.host, server.port, and server.path were deprecated and replaced by server.address. There is no mention of logs_file being deprecated or replaced by server.host.

If you are receiving a warning or error message indicating that logs_file is deprecated and replaced by server.host, this might be an incorrect message or a misunderstanding. The correct approach would be to review the Authelia migration guides for the specific versions you are upgrading from and to, ensuring that all configuration keys are correctly updated according to the documented changes.

For detailed information on migrating configurations and the changes in each version, please refer to the Authelia migration guide: https://www.authelia.com/configuration/prologue/migration

If you continue to experience issues or have specific questions about your configuration, it might be helpful to provide more detailed information about the exact error messages you are encountering and the steps you have taken so far.

I can't replicate this in 4.38.6, if it's happening in an earlier version I'd suggest updating or ignoring it since it doesn't have any meaningful impact. I get the below log message. You may need to include a full config per the issue requirements.

configuration key 'host' is deprecated in 4.30.0 and has been replaced by 'server.host': you are not required to make any changes as this has been automatically mapped for you, but to stop this warning being logged you will need to adjust your configuration, and this configuration key and auto-mapping is likely to be removed in 5.0.0
