This is a P8X32A/Propeller, P2X8C4M64P/Propeller 2 library for generating barcodes

IMPORTANT: This software is meant to be used with the spin-standard-library (P8X32A) or p2-spin-standard-library (P2X8C4M64P). Please install the applicable library first before attempting to use this code, otherwise you will be missing several files required to build the project.

Salient Features

• CODE39, CODE128: Generates barcodes from ASCII messages
• CODE39: decode barcode data to ASCII

Limitations

• Very early in development - may malfunction, or outright fail to build
• There's no validation performed in the generation of barcodes (valid input chars, etc)

barcode-spin's Issues

Rewrite to plug into display drivers

It should be possible to write these to hook into a display driver's line() or other primitive methods to directly draw to a display.

Add DataMatrix support

2D Barcode format with variable lengths, checksums, especially suited for smaller items due to its density.

Add QR Codes support

2D barcode support commonly used by smartphone applications for directing users to company websites, app installation links, etc.

Add Extended support to CODE39

Code 39 has an 'Extended' mode to allow representation of more ASCII codes, such as punctuation, lower-case letters.
