A french version of the famous WORDLE game.

This project is inspired by wordle and sutom

This game was made as an introduction for me to React.

Welcome to frenchWordle.

The goal of the game is to guess the word of the day by trial and error. When you enter a word, letters that are contained in the word of the day but aren't correctly placed are shown in yellow. Letters that are in the correct place are shown in green.

Once you have have guessed the word of the day you can compare the number of tries and the time it took you with everyone else in the scoreboard.

react-frenchwordle's Issues

Add a "copy score to clipboard" button.

Add a button that copies the player's score to clipboard in a nice formatted way to make social media sharing easy.
Include a link to the game in the clipboard.

Make it possible for a player that has lost to send their score to the database.

Currently, the scoreboard and the username input only appear once a player has won the game. So a losing player cannot see the scoreboard and other players cannot see that he has lost.

Players not registering in scoreboard.

Once a player has played one time, his user-name is stored in local storage.
This is intended but causes a problem because usually, a user's score is sent to the database when they submit their user-name.

So once a player has played one day, their score will never be sent to the backend again any following days until their browser's local storage is cleared and they can submit their user-name again.

UI issue when losing the game

The game grid gets moved to the left of the screen.
