Notice of edits to map

Please create a function that gives a designated email address (mine is fine as default) a notice in your inbox when changes to the map are made.

Open Now feature

Is it possible to create a feature where there is an option to view only wineries that are open in real time? How much effort would that take?

Title too long

@skmar We need to change the title to 'Arizona Wine' or something else fairly short like that so that the text does not spill onto another line when viewed on a phone. It does this even now with the current live site because 'Vineyards, Wineries and Tasting Rooms of Arizona' is too long. It takes up too much real estate on the phone when it spills to another line and it covers up the menu button.

Building attractive banner to dress out the map

Would it be possible to include a colored banner or banner with a photo collage to dress up the map a bit? I’m sure Stephanie could design something nice, but if there is a re-sizing issue or difficulty in deploying, we should probably pass.

Finding a specific Winery, vineyard, tasting room

Jessica: Can we build a simple search tool that allows the viewer to search by name for a winery? For instance, Grand Canyon Wine Co. Or can we include a pop up list or index with all participating groups that is interactive and links to their description?

Currently, if you want to find someone in the Verde valley, you have to go through the icons one at a time until the one you want pops up.
Or am I missing something?

"More Detail" at Wine Map

Can we leapfrog the “More Detail” step and go directly to the account information? There does not seem to be any good reason to make people click twice.
At this stage, my chief concern is how much time it will take to streamline the coding?
Jessica or Laura can you provide an estimate?

Finding your way issue

Hey,

I ran a test of directions for cella winery and got a poor result –see below. I used starting address at 416 w congress az.
Second try with 416 w congress Arizona – same result.
Third try after clearing and reselecting for 416 W Congress Arizona – same result
Fourth try – after clearing and selecting the “my location’ button, I got the right results.

But this begs the question, can you type an address in or must you use the location button, and if you can add an address what is the proper format?

Directions - Highlighting active Directions button

I think there may some confusion with directions at the wine map. Once a vineyard is selected and the info pop ups, could we color the active Directions box green to indicate that it is the most appropriate choice. I mocked it up here. M

Overlapping icons

Hi @jessica-azgs @Lbookman,

One of the winemakers brought an issue to me, that close locations have overlapping icons. I'm not sure what can be done to fix this. The only thing I could think of is slightly offsetting the lat and long, but not so much that it'll affect directions. Is there anything you guys can think of to be a better fix?

I've attached a screenshot, there should be two icons.

Help with map?

@jessica-azgs, can you help me with some of the edits on the map?

I've added a horizontal rule and a header for winery list, but this caused a scroll bar along the whole sidebar area (not just along the list of wineries). I'm not sure what I can do to prevent the scroll along the whole sidebar. If I take out the header and the horizontal rule it does not push everything down to create a scroll bar but I would like to have these components. Can you help/direct me to what I can do to fix this?

Populating winemap - ETA Tuesday 13 Oct - Adding icons

Jessica | Laura: We will have all, or nearly all, of AZ wine folks on the map by next Tuesday.
When will you be able to add icons:
Wine bottle – tipped to indicate multiple feature (winery and/or vineyard and/or tasting room)
Wine glass – Tasting Room
Vineyard – bunch of grapes

Add location feature for single entries

Is it possible to add a location without creating an additional account? What if the people want to display their tasting room and winery at their vineyard, but also have a tasting room in downtown Tucson? Assuming the products they offer are the same, is there a way to make it so one entry could display multiple points?

Edits to wine map

Hi @Lbookman and @jessica-azgs,

I've made a few edits to the wine map that we want to see how they turn out on mobile devices. The testing I've done on my browser have not been great but we want to see how it looks on a actual mobile device. Is there a way we can do this? I have the files, but I can not upload the zip here, what would be the best way for me to get you the files?
