That is a because of a breaking change in the latest azure service bus deployment. We pushed a fix to the client repository. Could you build the client from the latest sources and try? If you can't do that, I will put out a new release sometime today or tomorrow.

I'm not currently in a position to build the client in the timeframe you're
interested in. Please provide a new preview release at your convenience
and I'll update the ticket as soon as I can.

I built the client from source and I was successfully able to create a rule, remove a rule, and list all rules. I also confirmed I can send a message to topic and receive on expected subscription.

I am using com.microsoft.azure/azure/1.10.0 and still facing the same issue.
java version "1.8.0_171"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_171-b11)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.171-b11, mixed mode)

There is a test which adds and removes rules and it does work fine. Could you update your package to latest version and verify if it reproduces?

I am using the latest version (1.10.0) and still the same.
I tried cleaning the entire solution and redownloading all the dependencies, but didn't help.

Could you open a new issue to track this?
Also, could you provide details on how you are calling this method? Maybe a sample code? And the exception you are receiving
