In terms of timing, I think we will want this complete before our webinar on May 1st
from moodle.
Not only the recent updates, the original diagram doesn't seem to be an accurate depiction of the existing architecture. For example, there are no two load balancers and databases are not replicated currently. The "public subnet" remark can be also misleading. We should put the managed services separately from the deployed vnet, if they are not deployed on the vnet.

Regarding tool and style, it seems Powerpoint would be best, and here are some icon set and diagram style that can be referenced:
- Official Azure icon set: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=41937
- Azure architecture diagram style examples: https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/solutions/architecture/

Hi Hosung.
My name is Matt Dawson and I am the frontend designer here at Catalyst AU.
Andrew Boag has informed me you need changes to the diagram? Can you get me up to speed and what you are wanting exactly? Cheers
from moodle.
Hi Matt. Thanks for reaching out. The original/current stack diagram is not exact, in that:
- There are no 2 load balancers, and no 2 DBs (no replication yet). The "Public subnet" remark is also misleading.
- We also added the NFS option that can replace the Gluster VMs.
- We also now have the Azure Search option that can replace the Ealstic Search VMs.
We'd like the diagram to be updated reflecting at least the above differences. We do have something quick for our upcoming presentation (here), but it's for dynamic presentation, probably not representing the whole picture accurately, so we are wondering if you could come up with better and more accurate depiction of the entire architecture, nicely showing all the configurable options we have? Hope this helps and let me know if you have any further questions. Thanks!

Hi Hosung.
I will try and update the diagram as per instructions though it always a hard to get exact unless a wireframe is shown. I will get an updated version based on your description shortly.
Cheers

Thanks Matt. Yes it's not easy to get exact, and we'd like at least to reflect the correct architecture and the recent updates. We'd need the diagram to be in PPT for future updates, so let us know if there's any issue with that ask. Thanks!
from moodle.
Err, ok will try PPT, but first lets confirm the correct architecture in the design first so that the transition will be smoother. I will have an example in next 10mins. Then if you can let me know if i understood you correctly. If not, maybe if you can sketch up the exact architect you are after for me to copy and make pretty. I am not very skilled in the infrastructure side of things so something simple in your mind is foreign to me :)

Let me know if i am on the right track.

Matt, this is not about making the diagram pretty or look better. The architecture diagram was incorrect in the first place and needs updates for recent changes that were done after the diagram was created earlier this year. Thanks for your trial at redrawing the diagram, but the NFS/Gluster choice is misrepresented and the Azure Search/Elastic Search VMs choice is blurred. Also the Azure MySQL/Postgres location is not very good yet. The bounding boxes are not very much meaningful either. You can refer to a new diagram at here, but note that that specific diagram was for a Powerpoint presentation with animations, so it may not reflect the overall architecture accurately. Please note that this task is not a small/easy task, but is a very technical/in-depth one, yet requiring a very good presentation skill. Please work with your technical team and get all the components represented in the diagram accurately.

As per discussion over our regular sync-up call, this issue is put on hold for now. @meepster-nz FYI. Dropping the milestone as well.
