The idea came up to use trello or slack for this package:

trello (trello.com) is similar to padlet.com we are already using, and has some features we could use like voting (http://help.trello.com/article/788-voting-on-cards)
there is already a php client library that looks good (not yet testet) https://github.com/cdaguerre/php-trello-api

- looks more like task management with collaboration features than a "word processor" with collaboration features, formatting with markup possible, but too difficult for non computer science people. Desired pdf output like:

or even more advanced with a template from ecamp:

would be difficult

+ when you copy a card, the attachements can be copied with it (for march time calculations etc), but you have to export them manually

- at gryfenberg, adding another account where the people have to log in will not be appreciated

- based in NY, NSA is watching you

Slack (slack.com) is an improved whatsapp, has an in app "word processor", but formatting not very advanced, is more collaboration with small word processing capabilities.
