google-meet-jabra's Issues

Muting with boom-arm not working anymore

Hi there,
thank you very much for your extension. I don't know, if there have been any changes to Jabra or google Meet. I have an issue with Jabra Link380 and Jabra Evolve2 65:
When muting the headset with the boom-arm, google meet will not mute itself (the mic button will not turn red). This worked before.

When joining a meet with no Jabra device, the popup ask to grant permission, can't be closed

When I am home i have a Jabra link and everything works well.
When I am at the office, I am using the jack port on the laptop. Each meeting I am joining, a popup ask to grant access to HID device. This pop up can't be closed, you need to press the button, but no devices are available so need to press cancel.
Ideally, the pop-up could be closed, or even better detect if it needs to be launched

Mute button doesn't work

I use it with Chrome 115.0.5790.170 arm64 on MacOS Version 13.5 (22G74)
I use Jabra SPEAK 510 USB, correctly detected by the extension.
Exit meeting work, but mute sync and mute Meet from the button doesn't work.
Extension release: 1.4.1

After a Resart & Clear Google Chrome not work more

I am owner of two Jabra devices:

Jabra EVOLVE 20 SE MS
Jabra SPEAK 510 USB

When I installed first time work perfect with both devices. For another reason I required to be a Restart & Clear Configs for Chrome. Now working anymore. I remove and re-installing but not appear the first dialog box and button not work anymore.

Support for Jabra Talk 45 Bluetooth Device

Hi,

This is not an issue but more of a question. I just recently bought Jabra Talk 45 and trying to mute/unmute Google Meet using the device but to no avail. I know that this extension does not support Bluetooth devices yet, but is this something we can support soon?

By the way, thank you for this initiative. Really helped a lot of Jabra users out there! :)

The mute sync hasn't worked since the Google Chrome update on June 12, 2024

As the title says, my mute sync hasn't been working for the past week. I tried removing permissions to my Jabra device and reconnecting it, but it still doesn't work. When I click the extension, it shows no device connected, and when I try to connect, it shows my Jabra device as already paired. Let me know if you need any more details, thanks!

Jabra Evolve 30 II support

Hi, could you please add support for Jabra Evolve 30 II wired headset ? It's very similar to Jabra Evolve 40 just it is wired. If you need some information like HID identifier or idk what you need, I can provide. It even used to work for me for like 6-7m without headset being listed in your official support list, but I had problems to get it running tbh. Than it stopped working few months ago and I can't get it running again. Worked somewhere from 08/2022 till maybe 04/2023 or maybe even later, not sure if it's related to some change between versions. When I click extension it says that headset is connected and paired, it even shows small number 1 which before used to indicate that it is actually recognized and working. Tried to remove extension several times, tried to unpair headset several times, close browser, close tabs, reboot.. No help. Let me know if you can help. Thanks

Evolve2 85 not working

Hi

I am using the Evolve2 85 and even after following the instructions is not working as expected.

no red light or mute is working when I am on a Meet call.

Any troubleshooting steps ?

Linux?

Hi,

Have you been able to use it under Linux?
I tried google chrome / chromium and I can select the device and click the "connect" button but then the control doesn't work. I'm using a Jabra 510 usb.

Also I don't know which logs to check in order to debug this.
Do you have more information?

Thanks :)

Support for Jabra Elite 45h Bluetooth Device

Hi,

This is not an issue but more of a request. I just recently bought Jabra Elite 45h and trying to mute/unmute Google Meet using the device but to no avail. I know that this extension does not support Bluetooth devices yet, but is this something that can be supported soon?

Not working in PWA mode for Google Meet (Edge OS X)

Browser: Version 125.0.2535.67 (Official build) (arm64)
OS: Mac OS 14.4.1

When installing the extension in the web browser it works as expected: clicking the icon in the extension shows the device popup, permissions can be given and it shows connected.

When using the PWA for Google Meet, there's no "connection" being made after selecting the device:

Jabra Evolve2 75 works fine

The Jabra Evolve2 75 works perfectly fine with the Jabra Link 380 on macOS Google Chrome Canary and can be added to the tested section.

Use Smart button to Raise Hand

Hey, thanks for this great extension!
Is it possible to use Smart button (available on Jabra Speak 510 and Jabra Speak 750 models) for some functionality?
Raise Hand feature is really useful in larger calls and it would be nice if we can do it directly from Jabra 🙂

Failed to open the device on Linux/Fedora

Hello,

I've tried this plugin but unfortunately it errored out on Linux with:

jabra.js:15 Uncaught (in promise) DOMException: Failed to open the device.

And that was after I gave the HID a permission for the Jabra Link device.

OS: Fedora 35
Browser: Chromium 99.0.4844.84 (Official Build)

Thanks for fixing it.

Support for Bluetooth without Jabra Link

Hey,
I am using Jabra Evolve2 85 without the Dongle, and would love to use this!
I see in the readme that it is potential future feature so I just created this to get potentially some visibility and to be bale to track this.
Thanks!

Port to Firefox

A Firefox version would be very neat :)
I think it doesn't even need a new project. Just this project needs to be modified a bit.
