gbflatbutton's Introduction

[DEPRECATED] GBFlatButton

Version License Platform

Installation

GBFlatButton is available through CocoaPods, to install it simply add the following line to your Podfile:

pod "GBFlatButton"

But if you don't use CocoaPods, you can just copy the Classes folder into your project.

Usage

To create a flat button programmatically, just instantiate a new GBFlatButton with a frame and add it to some view, for example:

GBFlatButton *button = [[GBFlatButton alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(originX, originY, width, height)];
button.tintColor = [UIColor orangeColor]; // or import UIColor+GBFlatButton.h and use our cool colors
[button setTitle:@"An orange button" forState:UIControlStateNormal];
[self.view addSubview:button];

But you can also create a GBFlatButton via Interface Builder. To do it, drag a UIButton and drop it onto your view, change its custom class to GBFlatButton and customize it inside its File's Owner. For example:

@implementation MyViewController ()
@property (weak, nonatomic) IBOutlet GBFlatButton *flatButton;
@end

@implementation MyViewController
- (void)viewDidLoad
{
    [super viewDidLoad];
    _flatButton.tintColor = [UIColor orangeColor];
}
@end

Note

For iOS > 7.0, you can set the value of tintColor directly via Interface Builder.

gbflatbutton's Issues

Button not visually responsive on press

I have a few GBFlatButtons in a view on top of a scrollView. The buttons do call their selector on touchUpInside but do not give any visual indication that button was pressed. Any ideas?

add social_media_url to podspec

You should add the social_media_url attribute to your podspec for extra internet win!

It's relatively useful right now, but should be much more useful soon with feeds.cocoapods.org, cocoadocs and the upcoming search changes :)

Button disappears if I use a horizontal centering layout constraint

Button renders fine if I set leading and trailing layout constraints, but anytime I try to use a width layout constraint with a horizontal centering constraint (either to its superview or relative to another element) the button fails to render at all? Any ideas?

The button still functions ... it just isn't visible at all.

Change the class to a UIButton with no other changes and it renders fine.
