braglog's Issues

Clean up code

We have so much commented out code, delete what we're not using. get_messages.py is basically just a playground/sandbox/ things we've tried, so we don't need that.

Can we DRY things up? Probably 😹

Get time working

Do we need to deal with time? Or can we just send texts after a certain number of seconds with time.sleep()? That is easier. Are there any downsides to it?

I think this involves taking us off the free trial 😱 I will assign myself to this because I hold that power 💪 but I don't want to do that until we have to.

get welcome message to work

after first text (only) from a number, send a welcome message

Make daily prompts better

Thinking about user experience, maybe we could have a list of prompts that we randomly pull from to send to people that day, instead of just "Send me your brag for the day!" every day.

This is not a high priority but I just wanted to jot this down somewhere so we could come back to it if we wanted to.
