To my knowledge this is working as of now... at least there has been some patches
which helped fix the issue under certain conditions. Can someone please verify if
this is still happening for you, when using the latest head from Mercurial?

Thanks

I just got the latest from Mercurial today and verified that it is still a problem.

It got a little better in that rotated images now appear rotated instead of all black.
The problem is now when you zoom in; there are weird black areas.

See attachment.

OK, I see it now -- previously I had not zoomed in to a rotated image. I can confirm
that when you zoom in, the image can have black edges.

Thanks

Attached is another example of this issue. Something to note is that the black edge
you see in the picture is *not* the edge of the image -- if you look on the thumbnail
preview, you can see that the viewport is not near the edge, yet the black rotated
portion in the view is there.

This was done with just 5 degrees of rotation.

Furthermore, what it looks like is happening is that the zoomed image is rotated
after drawing the viewport image; i.e., the viewport is rotated without any knowledge
of the rest of the image. If you change the rotation to 1 degree, you will see a
smaller part of the image being rotated. If you remove rotation completely, the
black edge that you see in the screenshot will be the part of the image which is
right against the edge of the viewport.

I am in the process of trying to get the openmp code to compile on the Mac... as soon
as I do, I will re-test.

Cheers

Initial trial didn't show this problem any more.
If someone else checks it out too we can probably close it.

Well I am having problems running RT after the new OpenMP code was added, so I am not
able to test this at this time. Issue 115 has been opened for the OSX issue,
hopefully someone who knows about this stuff can figure it out, as I have no idea
where to even start :-)

Seems Gabor fixed it. Great!
