rewrite `itoa()` to not use `strrev()`

pretty much every function trying to replicate the standard library one is standard non-compliant

7.20.3.3 - the malloc() function takes a single size_t size and thus should be declared as void *malloc(size_t size), where size is the number of bytes of memory to allocate to the corresponding heap object.
