==============
Benjamin de Callatay

What it is
----------
This program is in alpha version.
It emulates an Airport Express for the purpose of streaming music from iTunes and compatible iPods. It implements a server for the Apple RAOP protocol.

Installation
------------
Double clicking on RPlay.jar in the DIST folder should be enough...

rplay's Issues

biquadFilter.java - should be renamed

The file "biquadFilter.java" in the /src directory should be renamed to "BiquadFilter.java". The class names and the file names in Java should be exactly the same.

Weird 8 second latency.

I'm not entirely sure how to reproduce. But sometimes the audio is delayed by 5-8 seconds when streaming to my NAS. Console reveals that volume change commands are instant, but the actual sound reveals the volume change up to 8 seconds later.

Could this be something with the audio decoding?

ipv4 support

Does this have an ipv4 fallback?
my router doesn't support ipv6 and I keep getting a socketexception

NullPointerException when trying to start server...

Hi there

I'm attempting to run rplay on Ubuntu 10.04 (32-bit) under the Sun Java VM. I have built Apple mDNSResponder 107.1 and installed it (along with the Java libraries).

When I attempt to start the RPlay server by clicking on the button, I get the following:

Exception in thread "Thread-1" java.lang.NullPointerException
at LaunchThread.run(LaunchThread.java:97)

Looking at the code, I'm not sure why the error occurs here, since it appears the object shouldn't be null (you initialize the thing in line 75).

I'll debug some more if I get the chance... but if you know of some reason why things shouldn't be working with my setup (OS or dependency versions) then you'd save me some time by letting me know ;-).

No sound

I opened the JAR, gave it a name and hit "start", and the AirPlay icon appeared as expected on my iPhone. I was able to choose the speaker on my phone and hit the play button, but while the iPhone acted like it was playing to the remote speaker (the timeline was advancing), no sound actually came out on my computer. Here's what I saw in Console.app:
