novel-vscode's Issues

Pasting URL is broken

When pasting a URL, Novel doesn't handle it correctly:

CleanShot.2023-09-04.at.16.22.09.mp4

complie to vsix

I spent some time trying to compile it to vsix so I do not have to run it as development locally. I would love to see your compile process since I could not figure out where to run vsce package

Fix using Novel in more than 1 tab

When opening more than 1 tab, one file's content seems to override another file's content.

Screen.Recording.2023-09-23.at.19.07.38.mov

The probable issue is the extension does not reload the Novel's state on switching tabs / opening a new file.

Table Editing

There's been a Table editing feature in novel upstream, would love this to got thru so we can enable proper table editing features in novel-vscode
steven-tey/novel#47

Handle AI streaming

Would it be possible to hook this up to Novel's streaming endpoint (https://novel.sh/api/generate)? Would it handle streaming inside the Editor?

Alternatively, we could also enable Copilot autocompletes with this instead?

Problems in local or online Image

There are some things that need to be done in the image section

  • Photos uploaded locally do not have a clear location, whether they will be placed in the assets or public folder. This happens when I do the command "/" option image.
  • Photos with online sources such as https:// looks like https://github.githubassets.com/images/modules/logos_page/GitHub-Mark.png are not displayed, I think it would be better if the images were displayed. Like the Example 1 / 2 where the image doesn't appear.

I think this second list is very useful, we can see the images directly, we can see the maximum results.

Example 1

1693759780995

Example 2

image

I think this is enough ๐Ÿ™.

Actually there are other things like being able to resize which will automatically write the width in the img tag, so we don't need to write the width manually, or when we click on the photo there will be options for width, align, alt, etc. Maybe this is a little idea from me to develop later.
