Summary

I designed this Control Box out of the need for one. All the cases I found were specific to one machine and one mainboard. So if I wanted to change the mainboard or modify the machine design it quickly became obsolete. My idea behind this one is to print it once and be able to make changes as I need them. Change the screen, mainboard or RPi, just print a new mount, install it and continue. I don't have to reprint the entire thing.

The component mounts are removable and changeable so it is very versatile. I currently have plans to put this on 4 printers so the design will change from time to time. Hopefully getting better each time, so add this to your watch list. I have included mounts for the SKR mainboard's, RP3 and 4, and displays that i have and can verify fit. If I don't have it listed yet then it isnt quite ready, Sorry.

proV5 board mounts

what board mount file would be used for on the pro V5 or standardV5 to run the E3mini1.2

mainboard mount MKS SGEN_L

I see in the readme.md that these two mounts were created a few months ago:

I cannot find them. Are they still applicable to v5 cases?

Case V5 and Pi mount sizing

I was checking how it would look like together in Fusion 360 and that seemed off scale to me.
The holes for the screws almost match, but not quite like all other parts fit together.

Am I missing some settings or using an older version?

First off thanks for the work you have done, i feel like there is not enough documentations on what has to be printed or which version of the case has that the others do not.. also the Case - Modular Under Table seems like just a case where u can only slide 1 piece..it's all a little bit confusing.. don't take it badly i just wanna try to help

Pro 2 Piece Base missing Switch variant

I'm going through and gradually printing each part of the case (Which they're amazing, by the way! Thanks!) and I noticed that the 2 piece variant of the Pro Base doesn't have a file that includes the slot for the power switch. Can that be added in?

SKR turbo 1.4 wont fit with ferruled connectors

just like it says on the tin, the board needs about 10 mm more room to get the ferruled connectors in, or it just hits against the frame. I am doing the 2 part here, so that may be why.

I just built this for my Ender 3, and it's awesome. I am about to change to an Octopus on another enclosed printer, and I would love to use this control box, but there is not an Octopus tray in the mainboard section.

Request for .step files to make iterations easier

Love the project, thank you for all of your hard work.

I was wondering if .step files could be added in addition to .stl files.

.step files are compatible with nearly all CAD programs.

.stl files are pretty difficult to edit, and there are some .f3d files present. Which is useless to someone without fusion360.

There are some modifications that I would like to make/versions of .stl files floating around on the Facebook group that aren't present in other form factors for myself/folks in the Facebook group. But the only thing holding me back from doing so is that the majority of these files are available only as .stl files.

Pro V5 2pcs & standard V5 2pcs questions tops & bottoms.

Are the ProV5 2pcs bases the same hole placement & size as the standardV5 bases with the plug cut outs? I have to re print the bases. & have the main body rear pro standard V5 printed along with both pro lids and display parts. Can all the proV5 and V5 standard 2pcs parts be interchanged? I like the bases with the plug & switch.

Can't Print on Maker Select v2

The maker select v2 has a limit of 200 x 200. Is there any option for case that can be printed on a bed that small?

Any build including a raspberry pi … holes are way too big in the mount (built pro combo) and m2.5 inserts aren’t listed anywhere.

Fusion 360 Source Files?

Great Project! I've been searching for exactly this. I'd like to print the V4 Base Standard 2 piece tall but with a different power inlet/switch (Specifically this one: https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B07S6M451F/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_U_Lm-hFbWHF2XZX). I see there are some f3d files in the depot for some parts so I would like to modify the parts that I need and it would be so much easier to do that on the source files. If you share the source files I can share back the modified stl files.

RPi Bay mount screw hole sizing

The hole size on the Pis is 2.5mm but the mounting posts seem to be setup for an M3 fastener. You can force an M3 through the mounting holes but it's not ideal. I have only printed and tested this with the Pi 4 mount, so perhaps it's not an issue on any of the rest. But on the Pi 4 mount at least it should be corrected.

SKR Pro v1.2 on 230x230 Printer

Has anyone modified the XL to 2 piece or widen the slot in Pro to accept the SKR Pro? I love this case design, but I cannot print it for my mainboard sadly.
