pixel-calendar's Introduction

== PixelCal

This code powers the photography and videography event directory at http://pixelcal.com

== Required Gems

1. paperclip
2. geokit

== Getting Started

1. Get the code
2. sudo rake gems:install
3. Register with Facebook and complete the config/facebooker.yml file (http://developers.facebook.com/)
4. rake db:migrate
5. You also need your own Google Maps API key. Get it from http://code.google.com/apis/maps/signup.html
   and then you'll need to update the script tag in the head of app/views/layouts/application.html.erb
6. There is a commenting option when viewing an event. It's powered by Disqus. You'll need to replace the
   code in app/views/events/show.html.erb with your own Disqus code
7. Remove the Google Analytics code from both layout files and replace it with your own
