FileScoringTask

Hello, this is a simple program, which find the most frequently used words in a number of text files. It based on Python, a universal cross-platform language, which is frequently used for the data analysis.

Installation

To install the program, please clone this repository to your local disk. If you do not have Python3 installed, please follow instructions here: https://www.python.org/

Also, one needs to install the following packages: pandas, matplotlib

Usage

One can simply run the program via console in any directory:

python3 fst.py

and it will output 10 most frequent words found in all files of the current directory. The results can be plotted by supplying -p argument, for example:

python3 fst.py -f path/to/file -p

The program settings can be modified by editing config.py file. Further instructions and help is provided by the usual command:

python3 fst.py --help
