progress's Issues

Astra emails

Send email to Erik Stromberg and possibly the VP of Astra

Follow up email template

In case we don't get a response from our massive email rollout, these will help us get a response

Antenna Design

2-20 MHz chirp range for ionosonde soundings (if I remember correctly)
We will likely get nitinol from the company with whose CEO we spoke at Smallsat - he will likely get us thousands of dollars in nitinol for only a few dollars
Figuring out the properties of nitinol in relation to the antenna
Designing the antenna for the Cubesat - look at tuna can deployment

Learning About Corrolation

I am studying how we plan to correlate the data in order to be able to be sure that the optical instrument will give us the correct data.

Email qualified reviewers for merit review

The merit review is required for the CSLI, and the more qualified the panel, the more NASA likes it. Finding qualified reviewers should be a top priority, especially because the advice they give will be beneficial to the success of the satellite, not only the proposal.

Pointing Requirements

Use Astra ionospheric particle simulation to calculate torque on the cubesat for our ADCS to keep us pointed in the correct direction for pointing requirements

Accomodate data rate

Change the data downlinked from a full, uncompressed spectrogram to something more manageable. Do this with either an autoencoder or more signal processing techniques.

Respond to experior labs, printech, KUBOS

Get preferred pricing on testing, a free antenna, and free major tom software. need to send all these companies details on our mission to get them to send us stuff.

Accomodate data rate

Lossless Compression
Avoid sending down an entire spectrogram
We need this fixed because right now, the plan is to send down entire spectrograms - they are gigabytes in size.
