ko-fi

What is it?

SocketSettings allows the GM to instantly update client-settings for their players.

Modules, Systems and Core settings are all supported.

How do I use it?

When you open the settings menu, a new button will appear below all client settings labelled 'Sync'.

Left click this to instantly update all connected players with the displayed value.

Right click it to switch to targetting a specific player, then left click once the desired player is targeted.

fvtt-socketsettings's Issues

Two scroll-bars in System Settings

Hello.

SocketSettings causes the Configure Settings -> System Settings to show two scroll-bars (window size issue?). Switching tabs fixes this.

Request: Allow other GMs to sync with settings

As weird as it may sound, some campaigns have more than one GM (In my case, I have a GM account specifically because I do all the technical work with mods while the other GM does all the campaign prep). Is it possible to have other GM users sync to my settings?

Request: Save a "group" of settings that I can push to players on demand

It's getting to the point where I've got a ton of mods and I can't always remember where a given setting is that I want a player to change. It would be nice if there was a new button for each setting that said "save this as a default push" or something like that. And then somewhere easily accessible on the settings page was a related button that said "push saved defaults to players".

(this is basically an alternative to being able to automatically push settings to players when they login since there isn't really a built in hook that supports that)

Hotbar push

Hi! Nice job with this module.

Can you make possible to send a hotbar configuration?

Thank you.

Request: Sync settings when a player logs in

I've got a couple mods that have some backwards default options (mainly because I'm opinionated and also because they implemented better functionality after the mod had been released for a while and didn't want to switch the default to the "better" option out from under the users).

But basically there are a few specific settings that I would always like to sync whenever a player logs in. I'd rather not have to remember to do it myself and some of my players clear their cache, log in from different computers, or I'll just play with new people so I often have to sync these options when the players log in.

Basically a new button the currently existing button that's labeled something like "sync whenever player logs in" (or probably something less verbose).

How to sync audio settings (volume)?

Somehow I don't get it: This module claims to allow to sync audio volume to clients, but I can't find a description on how to do that.
I don't see anything looking like a sync option when I look at my audio volume sliders in my GM session.
The module is active and seems to be working fine, apart from that.
There are no console errors, neither any console messages apparently related to this module.

Anyone who can give me a hint?

Tidy UI Error when filtering

  • When filtering module settings with the Tidy UI module the Sync buttons change to have the description text of the owning setting.

  • When filtering by module title there is no error.

  • When filtering by setting the error appears for sync buttons under existing settings, but not for sync buttons added at a whole module level.

  • The error does not occur except when Tidy UI is installed. MODULE LINK

Request: Configure which roles can sync settings

Example - in our current campaign, I am in Trusted Player role even though I own the Foundry server because one of our other members is GMing. However, before we started we gave Trusted Player access to same level of config/module settings as GM, so I could serve as main tech support. It would be great if I could have permission to sync settings in this role.

Request: Add "Sync" functionality to global volume levels

Currently, the UI doesn't allow the GM to set global volume levels for all other players.

image

The GM only has control over the players' volume for individual tracks.

It would be great if there could be some kind of mechanism to force all other player's global volumes to sync with the GM's global volume settings.

Thanks for the awesome work, btw!!!
