Blokada can affect the speed of some devices either making them feel less snappy or by decreasing internet bandwidth.

Whenever I click on the < > Get involved button or choose it from the drop down menu, then click on the "You'll find details here" link under the Translate section, the App displays the Translating Blokada article, but suddenly returns to the previous page after about 4-7 seconds.

With Google's Gmail app attavhments can't be downloaded if Blokada is in use. There are no notifications of any blocked items but the Gmail app has a progressbar for download which stays in 0 percent. When Blokada is paused the attachments are available as expected.

When on WiFi I experience no battery drain. As soon as I jump on mobile data. I experience a significant battery drain as the app tends to run as a foreground app.
Please explain to me what is the difference between the following latest versions, each one has a different size, how are they different?

While registering for Google Allo, it fails as No Network due to blocking of googletagmanager.com , also in whitelisting of App, Google allo does not appear
I have this odd issue with my new install of blakada.
It was working fine on my home wifi. But when im out using mobile data i cant browse the net or get any net data. Whats the fix for this?

I'm in a Telegram group and there are a lot of users who like it but for some reason there are 2 with Samsung S8 and Android 7 in the Android Youtube app that appears advertising. I with Android 6 and many others have no advertising. I'll detail it for you in case you can fix it.

When I have Blokada running, the Google Drive Android app cannot download files, the notification says Download Unsuccessful when saving a file to my device.
I'm using Android 8 stock on Pixel XL. Not sure if this was an issue on previous versions of android.
Using Chrome on Android (and under Blokada's VPN). When I do a search in Google, follow the link to one of the results, and I then press "back", it often fails (more than 50% of the times).
The URL bar briefly shows "google" but then (after less than one second afterwards) it forwards to the current page. In practice, it is as though the back button were reloading the current page.

I tap the sheild. App is on. Stays on for a while 30-90 minutes then is no longer active.
The first time I run the app,I activated the service,But it automatically shutdown after a short time.it said:something went wrong,please check internet connection and try again.

When I open the app to tick which hosts files I want active in the blacklist and then reboot the phone, it reverts to its default setting of having only the default "Unified hosts file" active. Also if I enable the extra hosts files while it's still active, turn it off and then try to re-enable it; the app gets stuck on "activating" and I have to force close the app to get it working again, at which point I open the app and it reverts once again to its default blacklist setting as above. It's as though it doesn't like me setting multiple hosts files to be active at once.
Some devices like ZTE with 4.x displays blurry icons. Related to the fact they are vector based.
On Galaxy S7 the VPN connection keeps droping off as the app is being killed in the background
On some devices, dl/ul speed is significantly limited with Blokada on. Can be confirmed with a speedtest app.
I had blokada on and restarted my phone due to an issue. When I did, the activation of the VPN was stuck on activating.. Tried to force stop and retried its still in activating.
Blokada don't start automatically, and It don't block all the ads (they have been blocked before).
It's hard to activate it, because It not responses.
Add an option to exclude particular app from filtering ads.
Found out that exploring phone filesystem from the linux-pc using kdeconnect is impossible while this app is activated.
It would be great, if there were an option to disable the key symbol in the notification bar.
I know when the app is running and I don't want to clutter the notification bar with a constant symbol. Thus it would be really helpful, if it were possible to disable the symbol in the notification bar.
Maybe and additional slider option in the app's main screen would do the trick.
Would like to be able to view the list of blocked ads and, if possible, which app provided them.
This will provide a great service for users to find out which apps are slowing down our devices and/or extreme pushing of ads. Then we can decide whether the app is worth keeping. Thanks. I appreciate your efforts in developing Blokada.

Known issue: Droid mini, Android 4, standard blocking mechanism
When Blokada is active, LTE will jump on and off in cycles of 1 sec or 5 sec roughly.
Same behavior confirmed even on 1.2.1 (no auto activation based on connectivity).
When I first turn wifi off 4G/LTE turns on and off every second, after about 5 times the key icon disappears from the notification, and 4g/LTE stays on for about 5 seconds then the key icon returns and the 1 second cycle starts again.
Looking at the Blokada screen when LTE is cycling on/off - LTE stays connected while blokada is starting up or paused but once it is active LTE turns on/off until Blokada pauses again (that's what I would have expected).
I installed this about 3 days ago. This morning I was talking on the phone, using an earpiece, and I noticed the photo Gallery button kept being put into edit mode. I'd hit another button to clear it and a moment later it would happen again.
Then I noticed the Gallery was open and the list of folder thumbnails was being scrolled. I immediately shut down the phone and restarted it.
Obviously I have no way to know if it was due to this app. But after years and years of having smartphones and never once seeing this before it has to make me seriously question it.
Any insights or comments are definitely welcome.

using 3 blacklist: adaway, hphosts, pgl.
using adaway with the same configuration on rooted device, success in blocking ads.
I'd like to completely block internet access for certain apps. Would that work?
Support for wildcard chars would be cool in urls. E.g. '*.example.com'
Blokada should provide a possibility to configure which filters to use.
Same for most other ad blockers, except Adguard.

If there is a problem with WebView / chromium, Blokada will crash, but shouldn't.

After stopping and then starting service I have no indicator in status bar showing that VPN connection is active. Reboot helps. Android 7.1.2 LineageOS on OnePlus One.
Blokada logo gets distorted or big.
If Blokada is enabled, it should auto start when device is rebooted. Some users are reporting it does not always happen this way.
Decrease the size of the apk and installed size.

When I switch of the Mobile Data the VPN is disconnected but when I on it again, it is not connected. I will have to manually open the app every time and click on connect. However, the app still runs in background (as I have set it so) even if the mobile data is off.
So since the app is running in the background, add a listener to the network change (Wifi and Mobile Data) and then automatically switch on the VPN when mobile data/wifi is on.

At night I activate the airplane mode and remove the Blokada key (correct) and when I wake up in the morning I deactivate the airplane mode, there are occasions when Blokada does not activate automatically, I have to run Blokada and it tells me that there has been a problem in the network, then I click on the shield or on power up and it starts to work.
