Usage

All CI/CD jobs are defined in the .github/workflows directory in the form of GitHub Action workflows. These can be modified per your requirements, but are designed and implemented to follow best practices and to ensure the highest quality standards for your package.

GH package release checks

DESCRIPTION version not in dev (assume .9000 format)
DESCRIPTION and NEWS.md versions are equal

Consider moving qc scripts from packages into dv.templates

Currently each package has its own copy of qc scripts. We may consider moving those in dv.templates so they are consumed from a central place.

Allow deployment to GH pages on manual workflow runs

Include organization PAT in pipeline

Occurs when downloading dependencies, the pipeline cannot find the GITHUB_PAT

QC report review

          Agreed that qc report requires a review to match the contents. I don't think that the prologue is 100% accurate. Nonetheless, the contents should be further discussed internally and I don't think this should be covered in this PR.

cover the case of packages with no qc report

At the moment the pipeline does not consider the packages with no qc report. It will likely fail when qc files are not included.

run Release check only as part of the Checks workflow

consider including and consuming the qc documentation from dv.templates

          For the moment the qc documentation works like this by using the hardcoded name. This documentation is not consumed in the package calling the workflows in dv.template those will use their own copy in their own repo. Agreed that we can consider including and consuming the qc documentation from dv.templates in the future but this PR does not cover that now.
