Introduction

This is a sample project for a file Explorer with mappView. It allows you to delete and copy files or directories between two locations. Navigate through the folder structure by double tapping on a folder name. Access USB sticks and network shares and use them like local folders.

See How to import the file explorer into an existing project. Download the latest release from here. When upgrading from a previous version make sure to delete the files that were imported before. Detailed information are available in the Wiki. This sample can run in simualtion mode (http://127.0.0.1:81/).

Requirements

• Automation Studio 4.9
• mappView 5.13.1
• Automation Runtime D4.90

Recommended task class is #8 with a 10ms cycle time.

Revision History

• Update to Automation Studio AS 4.9 and runtime D4.90
• Revert fix from build 1.7 since bug in AsHTTP is fixed in D4.90

Add CIFS support

Task FileExplorer is causing compiler issues with older C code

If older C libraries or tasks are used that use older notations the compiler will now throw errors for notations that are no longer allowed.

Add multi language support

NET_DEVICE files listed as (DIR)

some reason, all files on NET_DEVICE is listed as Directory.

CF or USB device listing files correctly.

Missing bool

The bool NET.ERR.active to show/hide the error reset button has gone from the latest release.

Some functions dont work in simualtion mode

Due to some changes in the download function some commands no longer work in simulation mode.

HTTPS

Would it be possible to make this work with HTTPS?

If you run MappView with HTTPS enabled then the upload and download doesn't appear to work, presumably because the web service it creates is only HTTP?
