Stargate

Upgraded Portal

Allows travel between overworld, end, and nether. Can be obtained by right-clicking a standard portal with a nether star.

Standard Portal

Allows travel only in departure world.

Remote Dialer

Hand-held Dialer

Players can dial from any Stargate found in the wild, publicly listed or not. Their personal gate dialer can add new gates by right clicking on one.

Stargate seeding with random names should become more commonplace.

Stargate preferences

The ability to manage stargates would be nice.

Full support for entity transportation

Reasons

1. Players could place Stargates at sea level, and ride boats between portals (Like orbital Stargates in SG Atlantas)
2. Allowing horses to pass through the Stargate would justify the 5x5 frame.
3. The Ender Dragon could hypothetically be stolen.
4. Native multi-dimensional transport already supports it (end portals and nether portals)
5. Pets can arrive in style instead of being flung like a rubber band through the world.
6. Moving away from the current system, we could take advantage of the new workflow and ensure elytra remain active while passing through portals.

Stargate ownership

Players should be able to have possession of their stargates.

High latency lag

With high latency servers, the particle effects, scoreboard, and transportation can be excessively incoperative.

Rebuild structure invalidation

Structures in unloaded chunks randomly duplicate and disappear.
