Some systems cannot handle the 512x512 grid very gracefully. There should be an option for changing the size available to users so they can experiment with what works on their system.

The gpgpu code is non-trivial in that it took me a while to get it all working correctly. I would like to use this in other projects so it should be refactored and commented in preparation for being placed in its own library.

I recently experimented with this app on my linux box with firefox only to have no interactivity.
The scene rendered, but clicking/moving the mouse around failed to add heat to the simulation.
I suspect this is due to a difference in how events are handled in firefox/react.
