Welcome to the mentoring program this repo is for the mentees to start of with. For me to mentor you properly please add your name to the CONTRIBUTORS.md with the things you would like to learn. If you would like to learn something that is not on the list please create an issue in this repo.

Who am I?

I am a CNCF Ambassador that is passionate about teaching and mentoring people. I have successfully placed folks into internships before and helped them with their careers in the cloud-native/ DevOps space.

I started off my career as a Software engineer and then went into DevSecOps and now I am working as the Head of Cloud Engineering in Australia.

Update Cert Manager Version to 1.7.0

Update cert-manager version to 1.7.0

This is to be updated in 2 repos

Follow the contributing guide in the mentoring repo for the PR. PR's will not be accepted if you do not follow the guide. eg branch away from main, sign commits etc.

All you need to do is change the version number and nothing else. Line 3 and on the following path:
kube-infra/kustomize/dns-infra/cert-manager/base/kustomization.yaml

Terraform Mentoring Program

We have now launched the schedule for the Terraform Mentoring Program. You can find it in the programs folder in this repo.

Please look over the program and let us know if you want to commit to it.

We are looking for mentees to come and learn live at the talks that we have scheduled. It doesn't matter what your level of skill is all we ask is that you study the documentation for that talk stated in the program before you come.

Update kube-prometheus-stack version to 31.0.0

Update kube-prometheus-stack version to 31.0.0

This is to be updated in 2 repos first update bradmccoydev one then copy the "kube-prometheus-stack" folder to the ortelius kubernetes repo under kube-infra/kustomize/test

KCNA Mentoring Program

KCNA mentoring Program has now been scheduled!!

I highly recommend starting an introduction to Kubernetes course first like this one: Introduction to K8s
