point-overlay's Issues

Picking feature

Is possible to add a picking feature? So when a point is clicked then an info window could be displayed.

Multiple layers on a single map

Awesome library and a great intro to webgl+Polymer for someone who normally does svg+d3 - thanks!

I'm trying to add multiple point-layers to a single map so that individual layers can be toggled on/off using display: none. The issue I'm having is that when nesting the call to point-layer inside of a template repeat it doesn't render.

If I bind a single piece of data to create one layer, it works:

<body>
  <template is="auto-binding">
    <google-map map="{{map}}" latitude="37.779" longitude="-122.389" zoom="12" disableDefaultUI></google-map>
    <point-overlay map="{{map}}" data="{{data}}"></point-overlay>
    <script>
      var t = document.querySelector('point-overlay');
      t.data = [{'lat': 37.779, 'lng': -122.389}];
    </script>
  </template>
</body>

However, if I try to add in multiple instances of point-overlay then it fails:

<body>
  <template is="auto-binding">
    <google-map map="{{map}}" latitude="37.779" longitude="-122.389" zoom="12" disableDefaultUI></google-map>
    <template id="point-overlays" is="auto-binding" repeat="{{data}}">
        <point-overlay map="{{map}}" data="[{'lat':37.779, 'lng': -122.389}]" id="{{id}}"></point-overlay>
    </template>
    <script>
      var t = document.querySelector("#point-overlays");
      t.data = [{ id: "layer1" }, { id: "layer2" }];
    </script>
  </template>
</body>

In that case it'll create two point-layer elements with the appropriate id values, but nothing will render. As best I can tell, {{map}} isn't passed to the point-overlay when it's nested in a template like that - but I'm brand new to Polymer, so scope may not be the actual problem.

I've also posted this over on SO because I wasn't sure where the appropriate venue for these questions is. Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask.
