for some reason the width and height attrs are not being set on the dynamically created img tags until after the first time the resource has been requested.

was using

{  imageSrc: "https://d3om46umlg1pme.cloudfront.net/g/heart.svg", }

in my config.

Firefox hates it when you inject svg as a data url. I tried escaping it, but still no dice.

This issue + the fact that using data urls means we can't cache images leads me to think the current implementation is 💩.

Ideas:

• Actually source the image from a separate page
• Use an <object> tag instead of an <img> tag, and source the image from a hidden svg element on the current page
• Don't support FireFox

need to divide our translates by the scalar operating on a given animation. this is tricky but could be solved through resolution of #3

expecting a range lets us inject ranges where necessary, and also do things like mayyybbee scale them
