var buf = new BitWriter([ 1, 2, 64738, 23 ]);

it would also be nice to be able to specify the length of the a number for insertion as well, but i'm not sure what the best convention for this might be. maybe something like:

var buf = new BitWriter([ 1, 2, 64738, { value: 23, width: 16 } ]);

The tests actually pass in the browser, but at some point I get weird errors, including

Uncaught TypeError: buffer must be a Buffer instance 

Not sure why that is..
