The special notations used in the cell BSB Version are the following

1. -: Means no English translation for the Greek/Hebrew original word
2. . . . : With space b/w dots, means the corresponding the Greek/Hebrew original word aligns with the English word in the above cell
3. vvv: Means the corresponding the Greek/Hebrew original word aligns with the English word in the below cell
4. []: Words introduced in English which do not have direct orginal language correlation
5. {}: Material translated by Greek/Heb word not in the current line. It appears to refer to a previous or following word

So - and [] are null alignments in two different directions.
. . . and vvv are multi-word alignment from Hebrew/Greek.
And {} is for alignments completely out of order(I assume, for mostly functional words in Enlgish corresponding to morphemes in Heb/Grk))

How to handle then in USFM Generation

1. -, . . . and vvv can be excluded from the English USFMs
2. Should we retain [] and {} in the English text or are they safe to remove?
3. Remove - from cells with - . ” but for when used in compund words like seed-bearing.

How to handle them in alignment?

1. In the English USFMs, where we enclose phrases within \w and indicate the alignment via srcloc attribute, split the phrases when a [] or {} enclosed word is present. Keep these bracketed words outside of \w markers, hence without alignment.
2. For the pharaoh format alignment, the word English counting needs revision.
   • The current script seems to count one row as one word. It should account for multiple words in one cell. Would spliting by space work?
   • Deduct counts of -, . . . and vvv. Keep counts of bracketed phrases, accounting for multiple words in them.

Doubts

1. Even if {} words alignment is elsewhere in the verse, we do not have the information on which word it is. Hence it can only be left unaligned like [].
2. What does it imply when a row only contains {} word which shows an alignment to a Hebrew/Greek word (row 1443). Assuming it is not literal translation can we leave out alignment completely leaving the Hebrew/Greek word also unaligned like in -?
3. What does an empty {} mean? (row 66925)
