Do you have a projected timescale for integration with BCMS v4, please?
Unable to create blog posts with utf8 title
i'm using rails 3.2.6 and ruby 1.9.3 and browserCMS 3.5.4 with cms.prefix = 'cms_'
i tried to integrate bcms_blog 3.5.0 but i got error in rake db:migration
Error
Mysql2::Error: Table 'database_name.blog_posts' doesn't exist: ALTER TABLE blog_posts
ADD attachment_id
int(11)
I created a Rails 3/bcms 3.3 branch to try testing the upgrade for a project. I think the CMS/Rails 3 upgrade took, but there is an issue with the BlogObserver where nothing seems to happen after saving the blog. This could be just something that needs to be changed in this module, or the bcms 3.3 persistance code may have broken observers.
There are a number of tests that are broken as well.
Even though I saved a new post, but did not publish it, it shows up when called with this:
<% @posts.each do | post | %>
Anyone run into this before & know how to avoid this? In the database, the published column shows 0 (thus not published). It does have a published_at date, but I believe this is required just to have any sort of record in the db.
Also, this is a Rails 2 project running browsercms 3.1.4.
rails g cms:install bcms_blog
gemfile bcms_blog
generate bcms_blog:install
Could not find generator bcms_blog:install.
Working with the Rails 3 branch, the following error is thrown when looking at a single post.
Error occurred while rendering BlogPostPortlet#4: undefined method `cms_handler_path' for #Cms::ViewContext:0x48cce28
Trying to install this as a module into a browsercms v3.3.2 and rails3.1.3,
trying to run bundle exec with the gemfile pointing to the rails3 branch gives me the following error:
/Users/Tony/.rvm/gems/ruby-1.9.3-p0@fsvweb/bundler/gems/bcms_blog-
f4f371232c7f/config/initializers/secret_token.rb:7:in `<top
(required)>': uninitialized constant BcmsBlog::Application (NameError)
The portlet for entering a blog_post doesn't show the attachment file field. <%= f.cms_file_field :attachment_file, :label => "Image" %> doesn't appear. Tried every browser. Am I missing something.
When you delete a blog in bcms cms admin it orphans all of the posts and and subsequently errors on and click to blog posts even on newly created blogs!
Hello,
It's useful if anyone help me to resolve below issue.
I'm using browser cms 3.1.2 & bcms_blog 1.1.1.
I've configure bcms_blog correctly. Now problem is when i'm trying to access BlogPost then it can't show me comment form.
I think it's not properly render the method of BlogPostPortlet. B'coze as per the code it has def render & that shows the comment form along with BlogPost.
What i'm missing ? Please point me to get rid of this.
