mock-env's Issues

breaks in node 0.8

It seems process.env.hasOwnProperty fails in node 0.8.

If you use the has package, then it will work everywhere. PR incoming.

Awkward import

Just used your module to remove some boilerplate code from a project, very happy with the results!

One thing that felt a bit awkward was the importing of the function. A very common pattern in node is to let the export be the actual function. That avoids the extra typing.

How about this usage?

const mockEnv = require('mock-env')

const env = { LOGNAME: 'someone-else' }
const result = mockEnv(() => process.env['LOGNAME'], env)

This could be accomplished with backwards compatibility as such:

module.exports = morph
module.exports.morph = morph

Then when you release version 1.0.0 you could simply remove the extra export.

- module.exports.morph = morph
