Doesn't seem to offer installation on device upon opening page...

Steals focus all the time, so when moving around on the map the keyboard pops up on phones. Wildly irritating

I tried to do "mvn install" on the Java back-end but it would not compile because
GifDecoder.java has a wrong package spec:

package net.exent.flywithme.server.util.gif.GifDecoder;

Changed it to

package net.exent.flywithme.util.gif.GifDecoder;

pluss corresponding package reference in NoaaProxy.java and the project built successfully

ser ut til at noe går feil når man laster Maps. Får heller ikke inn flysteder etter å ha svart ja om bruk av lokasjon.

Some users report missing takeoffs. Not sure of cause yet

FlyWithMe was a very valuable tool when I began paragliding in 2017. It came highly commended by instructors and senior pilots.
FWM helped immensely with discovering new flying sites, their peculiarities and cautions.

I see there haven't been commits to this repo since 2019, and some issues have accumulated. There are no known forks. Testing fwm.exent.net today, the only working features are geolocation and display of flight control areas.

I checked your GH profile and couldn't see any commit contributions since 2021.
Hope I don't come off as nosy, but I also checked your flightlog and saw no flights since 2019.
Are you okay?
Is FlyWithMe abandoned?

If you're open to picking this project up again, I will provide a (modest, 400NOK) monetary contribution up front, as well as recurring donations of 10NOK/month. I don't have steady employment atm, so I can't promise more.

If you're not interested in revitalizing the project, I could consider developing a clone in Python or Rust.

Takes a long time to load all takeoffs. Can it be improved?

Would be nice if the "right" sounding is automatically loaded when showing the NOAA forecast.
Which is the "right" sounding needs to be figured out first, though.

Checked with Chrome, Edge for Windows 10 and Chrome and Safari for iPhone.
