I notice there's a major lack of low cost compact gamepads with analogue triggers on the market. Would it be possible to include means to emulate an analogue button via the rear touch pad data? I imagine it'd be too unintuitive to be much use for racing games and the like but it could potentially be useful when emulating things like the PS2 which occasionally utilised its pressure sensitive buttons in a more gimmicky manner.

Some possible implementations:

• some kind of simulation based on the rear touch screen data to approximate how hard it was pressed via the size of the finger coverage area (most dynamic but probably very unreliable, would require the user to give some sample taps initially too?)
• a drag action for low to high (would need a separate mapping for a basic full press too in this case I imagine)
• a series of buttons all mapped via the existing implementation which have a range of sensitivity options (e.g. 3 L2 and R2 buttons, with fixed pressure levels of 1, 0.5 and 0.1)
• the ability to add extra buttons and manually give them pressure levels
• a means to flag inputs as being pressure sensitive with designated points on rear pad that serve to determine the pressure sensitivity of those buttons when pressed together (otherwise they assume max input value)

This could potentially tie into the other ticket about DS3 support as it has analogue face buttons iirc.
