CBC Radio Player

This is a bare-bones HTML5 application built on Sench Touch. It was mainly done for fun and a proof of principle that the CBC should be supporting a more platform agnostic approach rather than developing exclusively for iOS.

Supported browsers

Although the above paragragh suggests it should run anywhere, I'm unwilling to support all the edge cases. So far it has been tested in:

• Chrome
• Safari
• Mobile Safari

It should work in any modern browser that supports HMTL5 audio tags.

Web-Page

You can try the application out through your desktop or mobile webbrowser at CBC Radio Player. For seme reason Firefox doesn't render it particularly well. Your best luck will be with a Webkit based browser like Chrome or Safari.

Remove favourite

Currently one can only add favourites, not remove them.

Current position and audio length indicator

It would be nice for podcasts to know how long it is and where we are. Maybe with moveable progress bar for jumping too.

not showing

i download this file and tried to open but it is not showing up how do i install it

Player controls for Android

Android doesn't seem to render control for HTML5 audio tags so need to add them by hand. Maybe fall back to jPlayer?

Now Playing info

Give some useful info and picture for the Now Playing tab.

Favourites

Need to be able to add and remove favourites: both local stations and podcasts. Probably easiest to have a button on the "Now Playing Page'.

Handle Android back button

The back button currently exits the app but it should follow normal Android behaviour and go back in the history.
