This is the server codebase for the "¡Se peló!" game, which is yet another CAH (Cards Against Humanity) clone. Just a hobby project hacked in a couple of days (including all of its horrible code practices). It is basically just a glorified game state machine.
Why another CAH clone? I'm glad you asked. I couldn't find a version of it with play with my friends that:
- Was free.
- Had actually functioning servers.
- Was in Latinamerican Spanish. Specifically, Guatemalan Spanish.
And, well, it was another excuse to code something that I actually found fun in my free time.
The project was created with the help of Rust. It is not a good excuse, but it is the first time I ever play with this tech, so forgive any (if not all) missuses.
You can find the server code here.
Developers are silly individuals that will take any chance they can get to start a new project in the latest programming framework. Maybe because of FOMO, maybe because they want to assert their dominance. Or maybe both.
Found any issues on the server? (I'm sure there are many.) Report them here.
We have a Trello board. Request to join and add whatever is in your brain there.
All contributions are welcome! Keep the MRs as small as possible though. 🙂
(There isn't a testing framework yet... but it would be greatly appreciated.)
