A service to quickly make an inspiring chart of your entire life, similar to Brittany Fork's.

Built with react-flux-jwt-authentication-sample as a starting point, and later incorporating lots of lessons from SurviveJS.

Development

Run npm install on this project and run npm run start to start the app. Then just navigate to http://localhost:3000

Optionally, you can run life_api locally on port 5000, and change src/config.js to use it instead of the production env.

life's Issues

Make sign up page go to "let me know when ready" page

Until signing up & payment is actually supported, it would make sense to have a "let me know when it's ready" page

Show life calendar by weeks

No need to add data to it for now. But the individual events need a frame to live in. This is the frame.

We're already storing the person's birthdate. We'll also need to let them add a URL at which to display their calendar.

Show expected death date

Similar to Buster's calendar. Ideally, the person could say what country their from, and their expected death date could pull from some life expectancy database. That exists, right??

Allow adding specific events

I'm imagining it working like this:

If I'm logged in, and I'm looking at my calendar, when I click a week's icon, then I get a modal pop-up. In the modal:

• All events that I've added for that week
• A "cover photo", if I've added one
• A form to add a new event

Events will need a date, summary, and which emoji to use. Eventually they will need "priorities", so that the correct emoji is shown in the full view when multiple things happened in the same week.
