Edda © 2012 10gen, the MongoDB Company
Authors: Samantha Ritter, Kaushal Parikh
You must have the following installed as prerequisites for running Edda.
-
Pip:
-
MongoDB (which you should do anyway because it is awesome)
-
Install a non-text-based browser
We recommend Google Chrome or Firefox.
-
Install Edda:
$ pip install edda
Give the log files from your servers as command-line arguments to the visualizer:
$ python edda/run_edda.py --options filename1 filename2 ...
(see python run_edda.py --help for options)
Edda can read in multiple log files at once.
After each run, edda generates a '.json' file that contains all of the information required to recreate the current run. Run the '.json' file just as you would a '.log'.
NOTE: please only give log files from the same server cluster!
There are some sample log files in edda/sample_logs you can run if you don't have any log files of your own yet.
If you'd like to report a bug or request a new feature, please file an issue on our github repository (you must be logged into github to do this):
