adif's Issues

User- or application-defined type handling.

Writing user-defined or application-defined types is not fully supported presently.

It should be possible to

  • read an adi or adx file that has user and application defined fields
  • extract the field definitions via the ADIF - API
  • regenerate those types via calls to writer << ADIF::Header.new(...) (those calls should be uniform, the code should be the same no matter whether the writer writes ADI or ADX).

ADX field writing needs more work than does ADI field writing.

Numbers not treated correctly.

I say

qso[:my_itu_zone] = 28

When this is rendered, it results in the buggy

<MY_ITU_ZONE:8>28

Workaround: When I say

qso[:my_itu_zone] = '28'

I get the correct

<MY_ITU_ZONE:2>28
