Tidy JSON package for Sublime Text 2

Work in progress.

Control+Shift+J will format the current document. Will format a selection as long as the selection is complete JSON.

Issues

• Non UTF-8 encodings are not handled well in Sublime Text 2 versions below 2144.

Install

1. Change to Sublime Text packages folder:

   • OS X: "~/Library/Application Support/Sublime Text 2/Packages"
   • Windows: "%APPDATA%\Sublime Text 2\Packages"
   • Linux: "~/.config/sublime-text-2/Packages"

2. Run the command:

   git clone git://github.com/chrislongo/TidyJSON.git

3. Preferences->Package Settings->TidyJSON->Settings Default contains settings that can be tweaked per system.

Malformed JSON.

Current document or selection is not valid JSON.

tidyjson's Issues

installation on windows has no effect

installed as said.
ctrl shift j -> has not effect. how can i dig further?

Doesn't seem to support utf-8

I have this JSON in a file encoded with utf-8:

{
    "foo": "bar",
    "foo2": "æøå"
}

When I run TidyJSON on it, it is converted to this:

{
    "foo": "bar", 
    "foo2": "\u00e6\u00f8\u00e5"
}

Adds a space after comma

When formatting some JSON with TidyJSON, it adds a space after each comma.

    "foo": "bar",
    "foo2": "bar2"
}
