Using something like https://bitbucket.org/izi/django-admin-tools/wiki/Home create a default location, custom menus, and a very basic theme.

Create a related project "mxtrax-dash" to display per-domain and aggregated stats from MXTrax stats table. Beta version of dash will be considered to fulfill the version 1.0 MXTrax requirements.

Sections should include:

• Requirements - A list or prerequisites
• MXTrax Installation
• Running MXTrax under Apache
• Installing and configuring Postfix

Documentation should be done using Sphinx - http://sphinx-doc.org/

We should ignore settings.py in .gitignore and only track a default version with no customization called "settings-default.py"

• The str() should return a cleaner/easier to read summary
• Look into using tool tips instead of long descriptions for the various configuration parameters. This should make the configuration page shorter.

Many of the sections in receivetests.py would make for good methods that can be called on by other code. Pull these into a new module, perhaps "mxtrax.utility" (mxtrax/utility.py) and turn receivetests.py into mainly a wrapper for the methods.

Create a simple console script to ask the admin initial setup questions and create a new settings.py file based on the answers.

List recent stats to give a quick per-domain overview

The dashboard and core MXTrax systems should be decoupled to allow a central dashboard reporting for many MXTrax instances. Utilize http://tastypieapi.org/ to create a simple GET interface to request various stats using an API key for authentication. JSON output ideal for Dashing use.

Sections should include:

• Configuration
• Add/Change/Delete Customer
• Add/Change/Delete Domain
• Reviewing test results
• Troubleshooting
