vue-clampy's Issues

The automated release is failing 🚨

🚨 The automated release from the master branch failed. 🚨

I recommend you give this issue a high priority, so other packages depending on you could benefit from your bug fixes and new features.

You can find below the list of errors reported by semantic-release. Each one of them has to be resolved in order to automatically publish your package. I’m sure you can resolve this 💪.

Errors are usually caused by a misconfiguration or an authentication problem. With each error reported below you will find explanation and guidance to help you to resolve it.

Once all the errors are resolved, semantic-release will release your package the next time you push a commit to the master branch. You can also manually restart the failed CI job that runs semantic-release.

If you are not sure how to resolve this, here is some links that can help you:

If those don’t help, or if this issue is reporting something you think isn’t right, you can always ask the humans behind semantic-release.

Invalid npm token.

The npm token configured in the NPM_TOKEN environment variable must be a valid token allowing to publish to the registry https://registry.npmjs.org/.

If you are using Two-Factor Authentication, make configure the auth-only level is supported. semantic-release cannot publish with the default auth-and-writes level.

Please make sure to set the NPM_TOKEN environment variable in your CI with the exact value of the npm token.

setDefaults is not defined when passing options

Attempting to pass options when adding the plugin to the global Vue instance produces the following exceptions:

Uncaught ReferenceError: setDefaults is not defined
    at Object.install (vue-clampy.js?6bc5:374)
    at Function.Vue.use (vue.esm.js?efeb:4751)
    at eval (main.js?3479:46)
    at Object../src/main.js (app.js:10469)
    at __webpack_require__ (app.js:679)
    at fn (app.js:89)
    at Object.1 (app.js:10750)
    at __webpack_require__ (app.js:679)
    at app.js:725
    at app.js:728

Code:

import clampy from '@clampy-js/vue-clampy'

Vue.use(clampy, {
  truncationChar: ' '
})

Looking at the code, there is indeed setDefaults method call but I do not see a setDefaults method defined anywhere.

SSR Support?

I am using Nuxtjs, and i need good clamp package...

Does have SSR support?

中文与英文行数不一致

设置

{{originalContent}}

如果是英文就没问题,显示3行; if englise, is ok, line is 3, 如果是中文则只能显示2行; but, if it's chinese, line is 2

How can I use it in a Vue component?

I use it in a .vue file like this:

<template>
  <div>
    <p v-clampy="3">
      hello world, you are mine.
    </p>
 </div>
</template>
<script>
import Vue from 'vue'
import clampy from '@clampy-js/vue-clampy'
Vue.use(clampy)
export default {
  name: 'Guideline',
  directives: {
    clampy,
  },
  data() {
    return {}
  },
}
</script>

but it doesn't work.I consoled it in create,and I saw the directives' methods in the console.But it doesn't work.

my vue version is 2.6.11.

Looking forward to your reply!

this very good! thanks !

use
overflow: hidden;
text-overflow: ellipsis;
display: -webkit-box;
-webkit-line-clamp: 2;
-webkit-box-orient: vertical;

on some android (h5),the text ends with two dots.

you use javascript methods, don't use css , the compatibility problem is solved indirectly.

Fabulous !

Cannot use with multiple instances

When using this directive on multiple instances, each instance is replaced with the content of the first instance.

For example the content in #two and #three here is replaced with the clamp content from #one.

<p id="one" v-clampy="2">First instance lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipisicing elit. Incidunt, mollitia sed tempore doloribus, tenetur ducimus voluptatem aliquid sunt accusamus. Totam eaque asperiores, reprehenderit debitis, molestias dolore quasi itaque magnam adipisci!</p>
<p id="two" v-clampy="2">Second instance lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipisicing elit. Incidunt, mollitia sed tempore doloribus, tenetur ducimus voluptatem aliquid sunt accusamus. Totam eaque asperiores, reprehenderit debitis, molestias dolore quasi itaque magnam adipisci!</p>
<p id="three" v-clampy="2">Third instance lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipisicing elit. Incidunt, mollitia sed tempore doloribus, tenetur ducimus voluptatem aliquid sunt accusamus. Totam eaque asperiores, reprehenderit debitis, molestias dolore quasi itaque magnam adipisci!</p>
