Summary

The Connections Spoke is designed to work with sites that aggregate content using the Connection Hub. It provides contact and synchronization information that the Connections Hub uses to synchronize content from multiple spoke sites into a single hub site.

Installation

1. Extract the Connections Spoke files to a folder within the WordPress plugins folder.
2. For spoke sites, navigate to the site's plugin page and activate the Connections Spoke plugin.

Update for use with PHP 8

Connection Spoke Connection Options admin pages not accessible

Some sites that are connected to the connection hub via the connection spoke have a "Connections Option" admin page, other do not have an admin page...

Ideally all connected sites would have an Connections Options admin page whose Contact Information would synchronize with the Contact Information widget

Connection Spoke not activated on new sites

The Connection Spoke plugin is Network Active...

The 2nd url points to a site that has the Connections Options admin page. The 1st url points to a site that does NOT have the admin page activated.

Both sites do have the Connection Information Widget, which is part of the Connections Spoke plugin...

Contact Information widget not updating in customizer

When attempting to update the Contact Information widget in the customizer, there is the following error:
An error has occurred. Please reload the page and try again.

Widget can be updating from Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets.

Contact Information not synched from profile site to connection page

Contact Information from some profile sites is not synched to the contact information field on some connection pages.

Issue NOT related to sub-domains... synching works on some sites in a given sub-domain, but not others...

Save Connections Hub that contact Spoke and add link to Options Admin Page.

add connections sites option.

When Connections Hub contacts the Spoke, a connection hub url should be saved to contact in the future.
