Module parse failed in TextPath.js

I have tested react-leaflet-textpath with a new react project and a simple map using the example code and it works fine so I know there is nothing wrong with the project.

However on a larger project where I'm using react-leaflets OK, I am getting this parsing error. I have checked dependencies.

Can you suggest a solution? Thanks!
