At the moment, it is not possible to include images (and tables) in the appendixbox environment, because pandoc includes them as floats and it is impossible to do so.

I should see if it is possible to specify pandoc to include images in the appendixbox without using \begin{figure}...\end{figure}

I should convert the metadata.json file to metadata.yml to have an easier syntax to use and maintain than a json file.
