An automatic downgrader which downgrades GTA IV to either 1.0.8.0, 1.0.7.0 or 1.0.4.0.

This tool allows you to easily downgrade the Steam/RGL Complete Edition (1.2.0.32 and up) of GTA IV to either 1.0.8.0, 1.0.7.0 or 1.0.4.0!

Requirements

• .NET Framework 4.7.2 (Should be installed on every Windows 10 machine)
• Windows 11 (Not tested), 10, 8.1, 8 or 7. Works best on Windows 10.
• Internet Connection

gtaivdowngrader's Issues

No phone dialogue

As the title says, I have all in game audio except whenever I receive or make a phone call, I can hear the beeps of the phone but not the dialogue with the person. I don't know if it is a specific mod in connection to this. I have tried to downgrade my game again after this from my backup but the issue persists. Hope there is an answer/ explanation. Thanks

Why are releases not published on Github?

Title is self explanatory, just wondering why the releases are hosted on GDrive instead of thru Github.

Buggy UI in Wine (Linux)

Obviously I know that Linux isn't officially supported, but this program does work and successfully downgrades using Wine but the only problem is that the UI is buggy and goes mostly blank when hovering/clicking buttons. It can kind of be worked around by maximizing and minimizing the window but it's spotty.

Not sure if there's any fix for this but it would be appreciated as this tool is really great :)

Music from EFLC does not play

Checking option "Also install no EFLC music in IV fix" causes that in EFLC we hear tracks from GTA IV instead of those specific to EFLC. For example, while playing EFLC and listening to Vladivostok FM we hear a radio station hosted by Ruslana with Eastern European music instead of DJ Paul and dance music. If this option is unchecked, music from IV and EFLC will be played alternately.

FTP error 530 while trying to download e.g. 1070.zip

I figured out the downgrader does not want to download these version zip-files, e.g. 1070.zip.
I also figured out via Wireshark that the server simply rejects the connection trying to login with the ftp credentials.
The username seems to be accepted but after the Downgrader tries to use the password the FTP server does not want to give access?
Hence,
it is impossible to downgrade GTA IV currently.

CE version of FusionFix applied instead of non-CE after downgrading

Seems to be an oversight, however non-CE version of FusionFix is a bit stripped down compared to original.

Or at least FusionFix's options do not show up in menu and installation of mods via update folder seems to be broken.

Can't log in to internet cafe pc after downgrade?

Hi, there! First of all, thanks for all your work!!
I'm having an issue after downgrading my 1.2.0.43 (Rockstar Launcher version, not steam) to 1.0.7. It seems I can't log into the internet cafe computers anymore (before downgrading it I was able to log in just fine), so I'm now stuck in one of Burcie's missions. I've been reading it might be related to downgrading and/or to zolikapatch. Have you ever heard of such a thing?

I've tried removing ZolikaPatch, but when I do that I can't run the game from PlayGTAIV.exe (it says I don't have LaunchGTAIV.exe, and sure I don't have it. I only have GTAIV.exe in my GTA folder).

I've also moved the GTA install folder to another path after downgrading it, so that Rockstar couldnt find it and try to upgrade the game again (don't know if that's the right thing to do tho).

Any help would be really appreciated and thanks again for your great work!
