Clean up the space, so that we can start using it. Use power strips for now for power.

There is a Cooperative Opportunity Fund we can apply to until March 29th and get money for educational initiatives. We could apply with some workshop in the hackerspace and get money for equipment/material?

Put lights in.

We put the first coat. We have to paint the second coat of base paint on walls and windows.

Put sound proofing tiles everywhere. Especially ceiling.

After we paint, we should put the whiteboards on all reasonable walls. So top-to-bottom sized whiteboards directly to the wall, to cover whole wall, without even boarders.

@spencerhitch can you take over buying the necessary whiteboards?

Will need 5 windows worth of curtains. Dims: 2.5'x4'

Let's buy a 3D printer. I would suggest that for the first 3D printer we buy this one: http://www.cel-robox.com/

It is cheap, it is reportedly easy to use (@SloMusti says so), and well supported.

We can complicate later on. Let's buy this as soon as possible so that people can start learning how to use it. We do not have even to wait for the makerspace computer.

When you change the calendar date in edit view it does not reset when you go to another event, so if you just try to update the title of an event after you changed the date of another, when you hit update it will take the calendar date from before

Put on the north wall racks for projects. It could be a simple L mounts with wooden planks.

it would be awesome to have a decent looking floor in the makerspace. @emilynathan and @rmilman, you two had ideas about tiles and such, yes? what do y'all think is the be$t move?

-create bill of materials with budget$$ cap: $1,500 (James how is that looking?)
-submit proposal to BSCIT Fund (How long is this process? I can help here!)
-build the thing! (James + kelly + derek(?) + invite rest of house)

Convert our first desk to desk with wheels. Which should be able to lock.

@meowmeowkulkarni and some other BSC folk started a fundraiser proposal for the hackerspace summer of 2014. the plan was to create a nice looking pamphlet with hackerspace specs/budget and such and send it to alumni in hopes they would be willing to $upport the project. @meowmeowkulkarni et al did a great job creating a pamphlet, now we just need to update it a tad and get it out to almuni. Madeline Loh from CO was in on this too, it would be great to get her involved again.

We have the pamphlet. I think we should

• Add minor updates to the pamphlet (maybe create a timeline of progress since Summer '14 - we've come a long way!)
• Contact Madeline and let her know we are still very interested in pursuing this fundraising project
• Keep making the space danker with Cloyne resources + other donated stuff.

It would be great to get a part of the Makerspace crew working on this next semester. While we are able to use the space pretty well now- we should still be dedicating a lot of time to developing it!

If we are going to have 3-d printers, computers, etc. there should be an ethernet hub to connect everythign to the network, there is currently an ethernet cable running to the maintenance room.

Build a room inside the maintenance room to extend the current hacker space. Probably better to build a room in the corner for maintenance manager and have the rest be hacker space.
