elijah-openstack's Issues

Error

Dear All,

I would like to know how to fix the following problem:

When I try to execute the following command: fab localhost devstack_single_machine
It gives me the following error : Fatal error: openstak is not fully functioning check the service with 'nova-manage service list' command

FontAwesome library is missing causing logout icon to be unshown

FontAwesome icons are used for the logout button, but the library is missing. This could either be remedied by adding an Ansible task to the cloudlet-gateway role to place the library in the proper directory or figuring out how to get flask_assets to automatically pull this library in like it does with jQuery and Bootstrap.

devstack kilo version deprecated

currently installing devstack kilo version always failed due to many discontinuity issues. Do you have a version of devstack kilo version (with glance, nova, cinder, etc) package available?

cloudlet-gateway installation problem

  1. At flask db upgrade:
    1. getting FLASK_APP is not specified error
    2. getting no password required. need the env-template.sh to set up the environs
  2. When starting the cloudlet-gateway:
    1. .bowerrc is missing. Therefore the bower installation path is wrong

Make Issues in README.md Actual Issues

I think you should pull out the "known issues" from the README.md and make them actual GitHub issues (especially if future work might fix them). If they can never be fixed, then close them out. If they are "limitations" instead of "issues" relabel them.

Add ability to create/delete clusters from the UI

Currently there is no way to create/delete a cluster from the UI and the only cluster that will appear in the drop-down menu when adding a new application template is one with the name 'test-swarm'. This is due to the fact that 'test-swarm' is the only cluster that is populated in the clusters table when the UI is launched. Providers should be able to create/delete clusters from the UI which will insert rows into the clusters table and invoke the create_cluster.sh script to provision the cluster.

Does Openstack++ support Ubuntu 16.04 or 18.04LTS?

Hi there, I understand that you have tested the Openstack++ on Ubuntu 14.04LTS but due to some reasons, I may have to use Openstack++ on Ubuntu 16.04 or 18.04(preferred).
Have you tested Openstack++ on Ubuntu 16.04 / 18.04 LTS yet? Will you support them later?
Thank you for your patience and understanding!

LVMolumeDriver -3.0.0 (config name lvmdriver-1) driver is uninitialized.

I started working on cloudlets,an openstack extension project.I have experienced error while installing openstack extension in my ubuntu system.
When I tried to execute ./rejoin-stack.sh I experienced an error as follows.
($ cd ~/devstack
$ ./unstack
$ ./rejoin-stack.sh)
issue
WARNING cinder.volume.manager [req-857e6c72-9d99-4dec-8a41-016ebe935b53 None None] Unable to update stats, LVMVolumeDriver -3.0.0 (config name lvmdriver-1) driver is uninitialized.
How to solve this problem?

minimum specs missing

I tried deploying this on a machine with 16 GB RAM, 64 GB HDD and 16 VCPUs. The caching takes up 9 GB of RAM space and the rest is used by openstack. The instance goes into "ERROR 500: No host found" state. I found it difficult to figure out what the exact requirements are for the VM to be successfully booted up. Till now, I have tried the setup almost 5-10 times and this led me to figure out that the VM itself requires a huge amount of memory. I am still not sure what the exact requirement is, if it can be specified, it would be really helpful. I am able to launch instances using other images, but the image provided in installation guide doesn't work for me. I am using ubuntu 14.04 and Devstack's kilo release as specified.

cloudlet services didn't run

after installing Cloudlet extension,
$ sudo nova-manage service list

the output just like yours. But android cloudlet app can't connect to openstack. Can you give me a help?
